If you have never experienced driving along the river Loire then this would be the first thing you will be treated to as this delightful gite is situated approximately 25 minutes from Tours on the north bank of the Loire.
One can try to evoke in words the glorious beauty of this part of the country, the river meandering lazilily past the many river islands so established that they are plush with greenery, and home to birds such as herons and kingfishers. One can try, but nothing compares to the live experience - It is simply breathtaking.
The gite lies off the main road that runs along the river and is quite impressive with a white stone building and one dependant building, beautifully renovated in the traditional Touraine style.
Between the two buildings one finds the pool which is protected from the elements and also has all the necessary safety features for the peace of mind of those families with children.
The owners are a charming young couple who will happily organise breakfasts for the conviviality and the pleasure of their guests.
Separated into four individual gites
"Hibiscus" which can accommodate from 2 to 8 people
"Magnolias" can accommodate 2 or 3 people
"Glycines" which is in the second building can accommodate from 2 to 6 people
and "Pivoines", which is run on a guest house or bed and breakfast basis, can accommodate a maximum of 3 people.
So it's large enough to accommodate up to 18 people and yet it is scaleable so independent couples or families are equally welcome. In fact it is quite common for three independent families to be staying at the same time, which adds a cordial aspect to your holiday, forging friendships at the same time as you taste the many delights of the Touraine, what could be better?
