This pre-renaissance chateau, beautifully renovated and upkept in the style of the era. The furniture is all authentic, no aluminium four-poster beds here, the four-poster beds are real oak.
In fact that is what you get with the Chateau de Jallanges, a real feeling of authenticity, the chateau is real, as is the furniture, the fireplaces, the welcome, everything.
The garden is fabulous, beautifully arranged (tended by four gardeners, just to give you a perspective)
And yet it isn't austere, it has the warmth of a hunting lodge - which was in fact one of it's purposes in bygone days, albeit a top-of-the-range hunting lodge.

All told, this goes down as one of the most romantic settings in our collection, it simply oozes romance. Warm, homely, and yet opulent and rich, rather like a fine vintage wine
There is in fact a "Chateau de Jallanges" wine which is available to buy in the chateau's little boutique.

I could go on for hours about this place, such is it's splendour and history, but the best way to appreciate it is to stay in it.

Each family sized suite named after famous periods of style, is furnished in accordance with it's name, with the authentic furniture. All the matresses are new though.
The bedroom suites are arranged to accommodate families (couples with kids), or couples without kids, or group bookings (bigger families, friends, business groups etc.)

As Vouvray is a famous wine region you won't be too surprised to find Chateau de Jallanges nestled in amongst the vinyards that proliferate this region, unless, of course you've never visited the region and then you will have your breath taken away.
It's situated 8 miles from Tours, and 7 miles from Amboise, so one can take advantage of what the city has to offer from your countryside base.
The breakfasts are a gastronomic treat, serving home made produce; the marmalade, the jams, the bread, croissants, even the yogurt, all home made.
Chateau de Jallanges also qualifies as a "Table d'hōtes", which means that it's licenced to serve evening meals, at 55 euros per person including cocktails, wine, and coffee or tea.

On the premises, apart from the pool and the boutique, one can find a number of activities, for instance, rides in a barouche, excursions by helicopter or hot-air balloon, and there is always the french billiards table ( like a normal snooker table but without pockets )for guests' use.

In the vicinity there are three golf courses, wine tasting of course, bicycle hire and even a children's theme park.
